Don Poole, composer

Don is a staff engineer/sound designer and musician and the principal owner of Ron Rose Productions in Tampa.

Don attended the University of South Florida. After college, Don worked for WFLA Radio in Tampa. On their FM station, he was on-air during afternoon drive. On their AM station, he produced talk shows and was the senior producer for the Tampa Bay Bandits and Tampa Bay Buccaneers networks. Don also worked for WTSP Channel 10 ABC Television and was Audio Director in charge of all on-air and remote production. He also worked for ABC crews on Shuttle launches, NFL games and Major League Baseball. Don has also engaged in freelance projects such as Hands Across America with Pete Rose for DHS Films in New York, and albums for Anthrax and Tranier at Quadradial Studios in Miami.

At Ron Rose Productions, he’s worked on projects such as national superbowl commercials for the United Way, CBS Grammy Awards national radio campaign, “On the Waterways” television series with Jason Robards, videos for Norwegian Cruise Lines, Discover Card commercials with Derek Jeter and Paula Poundstone, Arby’s commercials with Richard Jeni, Dreamworks projects with Norman Schwarzkopf and The Cartoon Network.

An accomplished pianist as well as a published songwriter, Don has also created original music for Busch Gardens, Kash ‘n Karry, Heinz Ketchup and WTSP Television.

David Poole

David Poole, composer

David is an assistant editor working on a feature film at a major animation studio in Glendale, California.

David’s musical background includes studies in classical piano, trumpet, oboe, and cello. He has served as accompanist for many choral groups and has performed with many musical acts in Tampa Bay and Orlando. While at the University of South Florida, he expanded his musical activities to include composing for television and radio advertising. In 1988 he was elected to writer membership in ASCAP. In California he continues to participate in the UCLA Film Scoring program.

In 2004, after relocating to Burbank, California, David began composing for film and video. He works as a music editor and scoring assistant for other composers in Los Angeles. His skills as an assistant editor and his past skills as an online picture editor and audio engineer serve him well as he crafts and composes music for motion pictures. He also edits sound effects, dialogue and music for feature films.

David utilizes the latest technology for scoring and recording musical compositions including Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Reason, Stormdrums, Ivory, Gigastudio, and Komplete.
